At this time and age, climate change has been apparent; thus, it is very important for us to gear up and live more sustainably and climate-friendly.
Living sustainably means living more environment-friendly, making daily choices that reduce our negative impact on our environment. Climate change is associated to human implications to the environment. Our planet's worsening state is considered as a global problem. Doing our part to save the Earth is necessary and is our responsibility for us to mitigate the aggravating effects of our doings to the planet.
There are several simple ways we can do:
Go Zero Waste
The general idea is to reduce the amount of trash we produce. That means, only consuming what is needed, refusing single-use plastics, reusing what can be reused, and recycling what can be recycled.
Shifting to Eco-Friendly Items
If we are to consume what is needed, practice shifting eco-friendly items. That means, using items that are biodegradable, compostable, and reusable. Refrain from single-use plastic items because they take longer and impossible to decompose, they stay in landfills and even to bodies of water (e.g., seas, oceans, lakes) that pollutes and affects the ecosystem.
Support Local
Buying from local farmers, producers, and shops reduces our carbon footprint because less pollution is created during transport. It also helps the local economy to grow and thrive.
There is no planet B. We have to take good care of our environment for the current and future generation. Make the Change today.
"The greatest danger to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it." - Robert Swan
