Happy Shift PH joins the annual week-long celebration of Made in the Philippines Product Week showcasing the country’s local products from home goods, and handicrafts to fashion and food from August 17 to 23. This Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) campaign is based on Proclamation NO. 76, signed by former Philippine President Manuel L. Quezon which aims to promote local businesses and economic nationalism (and later on amended by former President Fidel V. Ramos in the 1990s by the Proclamation 1041 series of 1997).
Made in the Philippines Product Week cores on the promotion of Philippine-made or manufactured products and services to help raise awareness of Filipino crafts and identity, but also ensures public confidence for local Micro-Small-Medium enterprises (MSMEs), entrepreneurs, and inventors in various fields or industries.
Happy Shift for the Philippines
Happy Shift is a proudly Filipino-owned social enterprise with products that are locally made and locally sourced from different communities in the provinces of the country including Negros Occidental, Albay, Los Baños, Laguna, Angat, Bulacan, and Rizal Province, among others. These products are sourced outright from these communities at a fair price with a low-profit margin to ensure sustainability in the business and to help more people earn and showcase their products, talents, and overall livelihood.
Since 2016, Happy Shift experienced continuous growth despite the challenges of being a start-up and the hit of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Through the years, we have strengthened our advocacy toward a sustainable and educated Philippines and have utilized our platforms well to turn more Filipinos, especially the youth, to be advocates, too.
